A distressed daughter visits a secluded lake to scatter her mother’s ashes. Very soon it becomes clear that not only was their relationship deeply troubled, but that the mother has no intention of leaving her daughter behind.

Director’s Statement

Urn is inspired by the classic BBC Christmas ghost stories which are very character driven and spooky rather than gory. Like in our previous shorts, especially The Flea and The Stomach, we’ve tried to imply a much bigger story beyond what’s onscreen. Hopefully there’s enough in there to keep viewers thinking about Urn after the shivers have subsided.
