Arnes life is turned upside down when he loses his arm in a catastrophic accident. Miraculously a new arm grows out.

We’ve seen our share of weird films over the years, but ‘A(r)men’ (The Arm) really seems to have a mind of its own. This absurd Norwegian short film from Thomas Lunde takes place in an odd universe where a terrible misfortune unleashes highly unlikely consequences. The main character’s life turns upside down when he loses his arm in a catastrophic accident. His new situation is filled with both emptiness and loss. But miraculously, his life takes an unexpected turn when a new arm grows out.

A(r)men is an absurd short exploring the undertones of existentialism in life. We wanted to explore the dualism a lot of people struggle with through a joyful look at the main character Arne and the situation he faces. We also created an extra obstacle for our self though the fact that the movie is based in a world without words.

Ranging in similar bizarre tone as ‘The Grey Matter‘, we are intricately subdued by the film’s visual aesthetics, and subsequentially from its odd and graphically unpleasant storyline.
