The year is 2019 and a homosexual couple is feeling the backlash from the hateful rhetoric that has accompanied Donald Trump’s rise to power.

The film reminisces of a science fiction post-apocalyptic film, without any giant monsters or aliens (unless you envision a giant Donald Trump with lasers coming out of his eyes) where an intimate but extremely stressful setting places us in the midst of an unforeseen (and unknown) attack on the homosexual society. The year is 2019 and a homosexual couple is feeling the backlash from the hateful rhetoric that has accompanied Donald Trump’s rise to power. Beginning with the recent 2016 elections and followed by the first three years of his presidency as the leader of the free world. In their attempt to coexist, the couple’s bond is put to the ultimate test.

Last month I wrote and directed a short film. At the time, the election was undecided and I was feeling a unfamiliar sense of fear from my peers. Now that the election is over, we must fight for your freedom and equality as human beings. Whether you are LGBT, Muslim, Asian, foreign, or quite frankly anybody on this planet, we should not have to live in fear.

Touching on several delicate issues that have been causing quite a stir during the presidential campaign, Johnny Chang manages to capture the real fear that can be seen in much of the American population, in particular the LGBT and immigrant communities.
