When a young man’s ideal wedding proposal is put in jeopardy, he is forced to dive into unknown waters to salvage his plans.

‘Taking The Plunge’ marks excellence in many different levels, especially for a student film. A quick and relatable storyline with loveable characters that we quickly get attached to, along with the continuous and well timed laughs. Yes, the story is not groundbreaking, but the team composed of four students at The School of Visual Arts; Nicholas Manfredi, Thaddaeus Andreades, Marie Raoult and Elizabeth Ku, stuck to a solid narrative line and focused on the details surrounding it, creating the visual depth that any successful film will need.

Taking The Plunge was a senior thesis film created at The School of Visual Arts Computer Art Department by a four person team. It was a very challenging project that took about 10 months to create, but it was an amazing experience to make a film that we all loved so much, and had so much fun making.

Set yourself for 7 minutes of colourful fun with simply breathtaking animation.
